The Regional District of Central Kootenay (RDCK) Bylaw Enforcement Team has introduced a new online complaint portal to enhance the efficiency of the department. From now on, all referrals for Bylaw Enforcement and Dog Control must be submitted through this platform.
Jordan Dupuis, RDCK Bylaw Enforcement Team Supervisor, says “it’s a simpler way to make an inquiry and it will allow [the Bylaw Enforcement Team] to track what’s happening in each electoral area.”
After submitting a complaint, a Bylaw Enforcement Officer will contact the complainant to verify the details and seek clarification. If necessary, the officer will initiate the process of finding a solution to ensure compliance with the bylaw. All information provided by the complainant will be treated as confidential and will not be disclosed.
